Daniel (Dan) Tomaszewski, PharmD, PhD, Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical and Health Economics at the USC School of Pharmacy Healthcare Decision Analysis (HCDA) and Biopharmaceutical Marketing (BPMK) programs. He earned his PharmD and PhD from the University of Minnesota. His professional experience includes positions working in academia, pharmacy practice, and managed care working with commercial payers and healthcare decision makers to develop and implement a variety of clinical programs and formulary management strategies. In addition, Dr. Tomaszewski has worked with payers in various capacities related to compliance and governmental regulations.
Dr. Tomsazewsi’s expertise includes working directly with payers and healthcare decision makers to optimize medication use and ensure cost-effective implementation of pharmacy and health benefits. Dr. Tomaszewski has also conducted outcomes-based research focused in the areas of medication adherence, opioid use (specifically in pediatric patients), and health services research. In addition, Dr. Tomaszewski has vast academic experience, teaching within Doctor of Pharmacy and Graduate programs with a focus on managed care and global perspectives on medication use within the U.S. healthcare system. In addition, he has served a variety of roles on the AMCP Public Policy Committee over the past 10 years.
