Janine is a Principal in Mercer's Government Human Services Consulting practice. Janine provides client support for pharmacy projects with Medicaid managed care programs across several states. Prior to joining Mercer in 2018, Janine worked in a managed care organization (MCO) setting, managing the pharmacy benefits for various Medicaid, Medicare, Exchange, and Commercial health plans in several states. She oversaw pharmacy benefit design, policy implementation, clinical program and performance measure development, cost savings initiatives, and pharmacy benefit managers. At Mercer, Janine has been involved with pharmacy benefit design and development and implementation of Medicaid policies that including data analytics and modeling of fiscal impacts related to Cell and Gene Therapy (CGT), coverage of weight management agents and other timely Medicaid topics. She is experienced with developing pharmacy trends and program changes for capitated rate setting and providing clinical support including new drug reviews, drug utilization review, and development of management criteria. She has a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy (DKICP) and is currently licensed as a pharmacist in 2 states.
